Experience – 2 to 8 years

Location – Jamshedpur (WFO)

Must Have – Hot Rolling Mill , Operations Furnace Area , Safety Measure ,

Responsibility

Should have knowledge about operation of furnace and heat treatment process for different grades of steel.

Pre-job safety communication with shift personnel. Schedule safety observation& communication regarding safety issues with the respective shift charges. 100% implementation of all Safety recommendations to avoid reoccurrence of incident.

Supervises and coordinates activities engaged in furnace operation to maintain quality index, safety at shop floor with control of emission.

Maintaining the spare inventory and shut down planning with execution for smooth furnace operation.

Monitoring of Daily Management KPI assigned to take immediate action in case of any adverse deviation.

Conduct meetings as per schedule and do the breakdown analysis to arrive at root cause.

Active participation in Knowledge Management community and horizontal deployment of best practices in area.

keeping all the updates regarding rolling plan and billet inventory.

Maintain housekeeping in his/her area.

Implement all JH activity in furnace area.

Ensuring housekeeping and upkeep of plant.

Trouble shooting of day-to-day maintenance issue.

Ensure the development and adherence to SOP.

Organizing brainstorming session amongst the team for new idea generation and their successful implementation in the mill

Requirement

Relevant Experience- Should have experience in Hot rolling Mill (special steel rolling will be preferred).

Knowledge of steel grades, Refractory, heat treatment of steels, hot rolling, fuels & its chemical analysis.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance and condition-based monitoring system

Proper combustion and controlling of parameters for maintaining the rolling temperature.

Material safety data of fuel using in the furnaces for heating

Environmental aspect to control emission.
