Job Description
- Provides full range of technical assistance in the area of desktop administration and support.
- Performs research into new versions of centrally supported hardware and software and manage beta testing, production roll-out and post production support.
- Performs desktop troubleshooting in conjunction with the Service Desk.
- Provides technical advice to clients when necessary.
- Participate in security incident response activities.
- Assists with the installation, configuration, testing and deployment of server hardware and software, including Local Area Network, Linux, Lotus Domino/Notes, and Database systems.
- Assists with the administration, operation, technical support, and monitoring of server systems.
- Undertakes complex trouble shooting of server systems.
- Ensures 24×7 operations and monitoring of assigned systems.
- Identifies the need for new systems or re-engineering of the existing systems.
- Responds to requests from user offices and assists in deploying/configuring systems so as to conform to infrastructure standards.
- Implements backups of servers following standard backup procedures.
- Participate in the security incident response activities.
- Participate in planning, implementing, operating and maintaining security controls.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments of production systems to identify weaknesses as well as to determine the need for updating systems with fixes and patches.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, shall be necessary.
