Position Title: Account and Taxation Executive

Role Overview:

The Account and Taxation Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing financial and taxation matters within the organization. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and staying abreast of taxation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of Cash Ledger: Maintain accurate records of cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with internal policies and procedures.

2. GST, Income Tax, TDS: Handle all aspects of Goods and Services Tax (GST), Income Tax, and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance. This includes timely filing of returns, calculation of liabilities, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

3. Accounting: Perform day-to-day accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and preparation of financial statements. Ensure that financial data is accurate, reliable, and in accordance with accounting standards.

4. Books Finalization: Assist in the finalization of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

5. Audit: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors. Implement audit recommendations and ensure compliance with audit findings.

Qualifications and Skills

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Proven experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
– Sound knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and TDS regulations.
– Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA
– Experience working in a similar role within the industry or sector.
