Overview of the Role
Need an experienced Devops engineer who can manage On-Premises Kubernetes Cluster with Istio to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamental knowledge of Linux (Redhat), along with experience in understanding HAProxy and In-memory data stores: Redis. Good understanding of on-prem networking and security management is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall work experience is 7+years
- Maintain and Monitor On-Premise Kubernetes Cluster with Istio and troubleshoot issues when they occur.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure proper deployment of applications onto the cluster.
- Experience to maintain Microservice Pods, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and
- Istio Gateway and other Kubernetes configurations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cluster and application performance and capacity issues.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying containerized applications.
- Having networking knowledge to manage on-prem servers is a must.
- Knowledge on monitoring solutions like Grafana, Prometheus and OpenSearch dashboards to monitor the cluster and applications running on it.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in managing On-Premise Kubernetes Cluster with Istio.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, GitHub.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of Linux (Redhat).
- Experience with reverse proxy servers: HAProxy. In-memory data stores: Redis.
- Databases: OpenSearch
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of networking, load balancing, and service mesh architecture. Proper understanding of networking and security.
- Good experience creating CICD pipelines.
- Must have knowledge of Helm charts.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Experience with monitoring solutions like Grafana, Prometheus and OpenSearch dashboards.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech/MCA
- Certification like CCNA or equivalent
