Job: Researcher/Principal Researcher (Product Application Res. Group.)Purpose:Construction is one of the important market segments for Tata Steel. With expanding foot print, there is a need to not only maintain the current market share but also create new opportunity by offering differentiated service and unique product to the customer and building a working relationship with them. To this end, the job requires a person with adequate exposer in civil engineering design and associated tools.The main purpose of the job holder would be to create a team of engineers who can address design challenges in construction segment and provide innovative solution.Responsibilities:Initiate various activities with construction segment and build long term relationshipMake TSL preferred supplier for construction suppliers by means of differentiated products and servicesDevelop a team of designer for steel building/PEBGenerate innovative ideas to promote usage of steel in construction segmentDevelop new product range for construction segmentQualificationMasters or PhD in Civil Engineering Relevant Experience of Minimum 6 Years with:experience in construction/design of buildings/structures using predominantly steelproficiency in handling computer aided design tools and software to design and analysis.experience in design of steel and pre-engineered buildingfamiliarity with different building codesExperience in CAD & FEA, ABAQUS, Staad-Pro
