» Prepare mining model data for different commercial blocks/projects in India
» Analysis of Geological Model received from Geological team. Updating line manager with the review and status report of the Geological model.
» Coordination and continuous discussion with Geological team in case of any requirements
» Preparation of Pit design (Strip, Bench, Block, Layers etc) and validation of Reserve Database
» Importing pit and reserve database to scheduling softwares (Minex/Spry, etc) for strategic and details scheduling
» Preparation of pit and dump sequence/dependency as per customer requirement
» Finalisation of yearwise stage plans along with expit/inpit dump profiling
» Preparation of Mining Cross-sections, In-pit & Ex-pit Dump designing, Production Planning & Scheduling, Equipment Planning & Scheduling, Haul road simulation etc using different tools of Mine planning as per requirement of Ministry of Coal circulars/guidelines and internal/external customers.
» Support and promote standardised systems and processes for mine planning through the completion of regular packages of work relating to the Mine Engineering function such as mine design and scheduling and reconciliation of mining compliance.
» Provide advice on technical risk in mine plans and potential mitigation strategies through the application of data driven results
» Attending training sessions and implementation of new and innovating mining softwares
Assist and Support Mine Planning and operations team in case of any requirements
This position is a 3 year Fixed Term Contract position as an IL4/IL5 contract position.

» Global best practice knowledge and experience with understanding of global benchmark
» Knowledge of mine planning, geology, GIS, Drill & Blast, mining principals and other related mining support services
» Strong communication skills, both written and oral
» Highly effective customer facing skills and proven ability to build and maintain relationships, both internally and externally.
» Knowledge of the technologies currently implemented within division.
» Understanding the key value drivers for current and new mining operations
» Knowledge of current and emerging mining technologies and concepts
» Knowledge of design and scheduling best practice tools and methodologies.

Other Details
» BE/B.Tech in Mining Engineering or MSc in Geology.
» Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Mine Planning, design and scheduling
» Strategic and innovative approach to problem solving and ability to define critical value drivers (cost and revenue) in an operation
» Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation
» Practical experience in Mine Design with long- & short-term scheduling
» Previous experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
