Neurology:

Role description

Should be a competent doctor

Should be able to diagnosis and examine the patients properly, manage them and do proper consultations.

Neurosurgeon:

A neurosurgeon should be able to diagnosis and perform surgical treatment of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system including congenital anomalies, trauma, tumors, vascular disorders, infections of the brain or spine, stroke, or degenerative diseases of the spine.

Hematologist:

Should be a competent doctor.

Should be able to do the primary responsibilities include testing and diagnosing patients, treating diseases such as anemia or hemophilia and prescribing medications or dietary advice

Nephrology:

Should be competent doctor

Should have the following duties-

Well verse managing patients on peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis.

Research and update billing policies as changes are make by CMS.

See patients of chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, hypertension and other kidney relate disorders.

Coordinate and organize post-deployment healthcare assessment (PDHA) standard operating procedures for subordinate units

Urology

  • Responsible for all the patients managed by them in the department
  • An independent specialist in his own right. He can examine, treat and follow up cases as per need.
  • Proper documentation and communication of cases seen/ managed by them or in the unit
  • Consult seniors if in dilemma or facing difficulty while managing patients.
  • See all referrals cases and take logical decision.
  • Before undertaking/ introducing any new technique/procedure, must consult seniors.
  • Follow the protocol and norms while managing cases in the department.
  • Participate in NABH training, participate in clinical audits, patient safety audits, NABH audits and ISO audits.
  • Specific jobs assigned to them
  • Performing special procedures as per credentialing
  • Any other responsibility or job assigned by the management in the interest of the organization at any location of Tata Steel Ltd.
  • Learn quality objective, read quality manual, get acquainted with the quality practices followed in the department and hospital.
  • Take self- initiatives to bring in new techniques and technologies and upgrade themselves in consultation with his Head Consultant & In- Charge.
  • Publish papers in national/ international journals. He shall make presentations in regional and national conferences.
  • Encouraging academic activities and guiding junior colleagues in the unit in presenting papers or publishing articles.
  • Training paramedical staff in the unit and keeping record of training.
  • He/ She is expected to: Be punctual in office hours, Dress appropriately and follow the right attire and Participate in all official activities.
  • Authorized to Treat patients as per protocols of the unit, admit and shift patient, Organize the resource to achieve the pre- defined targets of the department and Organize training for the paramedical staff and nurses.

Medical Oncology

  • Management of various solid and haematological malignancies in adult and pediatric patients
  • Well versed with various frontline protocols and routine protocols
  • Documentation- Proper documentation of all medical records related to patients according to international standard (NABH).
  • Manage and maintain all Medical Oncology patients’ database and developing best practical protocol for patients benefit.
  • Working with other doctors as part of a team, either in the same department or within other specialties;
  • Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatment
  • Teaching and supervising junior doctors
  • Any other responsibility assigned by the management

Endocrinology

  • Evaluate patients to diagnose endocrine disorders
  • Create and implement treatment plans for patients with endocrine disorders
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to assess hormone levels and gland function
  • Interpret test results and diagnose endocrine disorders
  • Develop and implement preventive care plans to help patients manage and reduce the risk of endocrine disorders
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians and surgeons, to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and their families about endocrine disorders, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to promote endocrine health
  • Provide follow-up care to monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Document patient information and treatment plans in patient medical records

Gastroenterology

Expertise in the disorders and diseases that affect the digestive system — which includes the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus) as well as the pancreas, liver, bile ducts and gallbladder.

Treat and diagnose conditions and issues that impact or concern the gastrointestinal tract and liver.

Provide comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders

Review patient histories, perform physical exams, and make diagnoses regarding patient’s gastrointestinal

Other details

Should have qualified MBBS from a recognized institute, DNB/MD or equivalent for 3 years in any speciality, DM Neurology.

The institute should be NMC/MCI reqgistered.

Hematologist:

Should have completed MBBS from recognised university, MD/DNB, DM/DrNB Hematology

Neurosurgeon:

Should have completed MBBS from a recognized institute. MBBS, MS/DNB Surgery and Mch/DrNB Neurosurgery

Nephrology:

Should have completed MBBS, MD/DNB, DM/DrNB Nephrology from recognised university.

The university should be NMC/MCI recognized.

Urology

Should have qualified MBBS, DNB/MS, M.Ch. (Urology) from a recognized institute.

Medical Oncology

MBBS from a recognized institute. DM/DNB Medical Oncology. The college should be NMC.MCI recognized.

Endocrinology

Should have qualified MBBS from a recognized institute. Should have DNB/MD in Endocrinology. The institute should be NMC/MCI registered.

Gastroenterology

Should have qualified MBBS, MD/DNB & DM Gastroenterology
