Purpose of the Job:

Supervises and coordinates activities engaged in cooling, finishing, cutting, bundling of wire rod line to maintain smooth operational process.

Developing the SOP’s, Maintaining the spare inventory and shut down planning with execution for smooth operation, Development of small group for improvement OF KPI’s.

Job Responsibility

• Should have knowledge about hot rolling of special steel.
• Pre-job safety communication with shift personnel. Schedule safety observation& communication regarding safety issues with the respective shift charges. 100% implementation of all Safety recommendations to avoid reoccurrence of incident.
• Supervises and coordinates activities engaged in cooling, finishing, cutting & bundling of wire rods.
• Maintaining the spare inventory and shut down planning with execution for smooth operation.
• Monitoring of Daily Management KPI assigned to take immediate action in case of any adverse deviation.
• Conduct meetings as per schedule and do the breakdown analysis to arrive at root cause.
• Active participation in Knowledge Management community and horizontal deployment of best practices in area.
• Implement all JH activity in assigned area.
• Ensuring housekeeping and upkeep of plant.
• Trouble shooting of day-to-day maintenance issue.
• Ensure the development and adherence to SOP.

Organizing brainstorming session amongst the team for new idea generation and their successful implementation.

Skills

Knowledge of steel grades, heat treatment of steels, hot rolling, different types of cooling.

Knowledge of grade-wise & family-wise wire rod cutting temperature, defects arise during cutting, etc

Should have knowledge of different types of compactor, packaging & trimming, etc

Should have idea about different microstructure, mechanical properties of different grades of steel.
