Role Description

The Context / Purpose of the Job

Drive implementation of Employee Involvement Initiatives (Small Group Activity (SGA), MASS+, Suggestion Management), 5S & Visual Workplace Management (VWM) and Daily Management in Tata Steel India. Facilitate training and implementation of processes for quality certifications like QMS (ISO 9001), IATF 16949, IMS, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Overall objective of the role.
  • Drive implementation of Employee Involvement Initiatives (Small Group Activity (SGA), MASS+, Suggestion Management), 5S & Visual Workplace Management (VWM) and Daily Management in Tata Steel India.
  • Facilitate training and implementation of processes for quality certifications like IMS and QMS.
  • Major tasks & responsibilities
  • Provide inputs for Annual Plan of DM, SGA, MASS, Suggestion Management and QMS/IMS.
  • Ensure involvement and engagement of front-line employees in SGA (TPM + QC), MASS+ and Suggestion Management through training and facilitation.
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes for improvement in IT platforms of SGA, MASS, Suggestion Management and Daily Management.
  • Facilitate participation of SGA and MASS teams in external competitions/ seminars.
  • Ensure effective deployment of Daily Management and 5S & VWM in divisions and departments through training, facilitation, assessment, review and reward & recognitions.
  • Impart training on QMS/ IMS processes/ standards to develop awareness and deployment of processes for quality certification (ISO/ IATF).
  • Engagement with external consultants for capability development, certifications etc. including management of relevant contracts.
  • Provide support to JWQC and SBC in policy formulation and implementation.
  • Organise annual SGA, MASS+, Suggestion Management scheme related competitions and Daily Management assessments.
  • Organise/ Support in organising annual JWQC and Suggestion award functions
  • Provide support in organising other award functions hosted by TQM department.
  • Provide support to departments and division in preparing for assessments like – TBEM, Prime Minister’s trophy etc.

>B.E. / B Tech- any discipline- Full time – AICTE/UGC approved campuses.

>MBA/PGDM preferable
