About the Organization
Swaniti Initiative is a non-partisan, social enterprise that delivers development solutions to policy-makers and representatives. Swaniti works with State Governments and Parliamentarians across 17 states. Swaniti supports addressing the issues of health, education, gender, water, sanitation, climate change, and livelihood. We work through a three-pronged approach: provide research support on key government programs and initiatives, on-ground implementation insights for the delivery of public service, and technological intervention to improve service delivery.
Summary
We are looking for a passionate and experienced data analyst who is keen on working in the development sector. The chosen candidate shall work as part of a five-member Planning and Monitoring Unit (PMU) that shall work with the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) to monitor, plan for and implement development works in mining-affected regions of the district. The Project Officer (IT) shall play a crucial role in designing and updating MIS systems as well as supporting tall e-governance projects taken up under DMF. We are looking specifically for driven professionals who are capable of working in a public sector setting while maintaining high productivity.
Qualifications
The candidate must be a B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science (or Information Technology) or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) or PG Diploma in Computer Science (or Information Technology) or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. The candidate should have experience in the design, maintenance, and updating of MIS systems. Preference will be given to candidates possessing previous experience of working with government departments.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and regularly update of GIS-based Management Information System (MIS) for all projects taken up under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
- Support all e-governance projects taken up under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
- Liaison with district National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the nodal agency at the state level to regularly provide information regarding details of meetings held, proceedings finalized, notifications issued, etc for updating on the DMF website.
- Design, maintain, and periodically update ‘Digital Dashboard’ containing all information regarding the mining-affected villages collected during the initial baseline surveys and subsequent mid-line surveys.
- Comply with all requirements under the Right to Information Act (RTI) with regard to the District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
- Procure and maintain all IT assets of the Planning and Monitoring Unit (PMU) including laptops, printers, scanners, etc.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically, analyze diverse information, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues, and recommend solutions and competency in the usage of IT tools including proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Strong oral and writing skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in Hindi is desirable.

Salary: ₹500,000.00 – ₹600,000.00 per year
