Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Food Scientist to join our team in Bihar, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science and technology, with experience in developing and improving food products and processes. This role will involve research, experimentation, and collaboration to ensure that our products meet high standards of quality, safety, and consumer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
Design and develop new food products that align with market trends and consumer preferences.
Improve existing products by modifying recipes, ingredients, and processing methods to enhance quality, taste, and nutritional value.
Research and Experimentation:
Conduct research to explore new ingredients, technologies, and processes that can be applied to food production.
Perform experiments to test the stability, safety, and shelf-life of food products under various conditions.
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet regulatory standards and company specifications.
Analyze the physical, chemical, and sensory properties of food products to ensure consistency and quality.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all products comply with local, national, and international food safety regulations.
Stay updated on the latest food industry regulations and standards, and implement necessary changes in processes and products.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and supply chain, to bring new products to market.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research findings, product development updates, and quality assessments to stakeholders.
Process Optimization:
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Work with production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing technologies.
- Experience in developing and testing food products, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for food analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the food processing industry in Bihar or similar regions.
- Familiarity with local ingredients and traditional food processing methods.
- Experience in managing projects and working with cross-functional teams.
