Job Description:

Samvedna Development Society is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Sector Consultant to join our team. The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of institutes across Bihar, focusing on the Higher Education Sector. The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background and a proven track record of working in the field of Higher Education. The consultant will be responsible for implementing various initiatives and strategies to improve the quality and outreach of educational institutions in Bihar.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive qualitative checklist covering the criteria of national ratings and accreditation bodies such as NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework), NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), NBA (National Board of Accreditation), and other relevant qualitative indicators.
• Collaborate with educational institutions to implement the checklist and monitor their progress towards meeting the accreditation criteria and improving their performance.
• Provide guidance and support to educational institutions in implementing e-library initiatives, including suggesting measures for improvement and monitoring the effectiveness of these initiatives.
• Prepare a blueprint for extending handholding support to all universities and colleges in Bihar to help them prepare for assessment and accreditation by NAAC.
• Work closely with Nalanda Open University to develop and implement a strategy for strengthening its outreach efforts, expanding its reach to a wider audience, and improving the overall accessibility of its educational programs.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and best practices in the higher education sector, and provide recommendations for their implementation in Bihar.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), or Master of Business Administration (MBA), or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (equivalent to MBA), or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, with at least 1 year of experience specifically in the Higher Education Sector.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of national ratings and accreditation bodies, such as NIRF, NAAC, and NBA.
• Familiarity with e-library initiatives and digital resources in the education sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
