Job Description :

Monitors the mechanical maintenance operations of the cell by supervising the team members and system maintenance activities.

• Inspects and restores machines that have broken down within the set timelines
• Implements effective preventive maintenance to achieve OEE and increase machine reliability
• Maintains the inventory of spare parts through checklists and uses techniques (like why-why) to ensure timely repair of machines in case of breakdown
• Creates purchase requisition and follows-up for maintenance spare parts as per approved budget
• Retrofits old/existing machines and commissions new machines as per plan.
• Monitors and Improves safety interlocks and poka-yoke arrangements
• Maintains history cards of machines
• Implements suggestions from maintenance team members to improve the performance of machines
• Coordinates with service personnel to resolve problems in the installation of new equipment.
• Reviews repair reports and observes the progress of work on major overhauls to evaluate the efficiency of maintenance work quality.
• Maintains QMS/IMS/TPM/ system standards in the maintenance module of the cell as per procedure
• Motivates team members for suggestions/kaizens and implements the same to meet objectives.
• Monitors team members for personal protective equipment adherence to ensure safety at work

Cost Management

• Monitors expenses related to the maintenance activities of the cell, spare parts and encourages effective utilization of resources

Management Reporting

• Prepares reports related to the performance of the cell in terms of MTBF, MTTR, spare parts inventory, etc. and forwards to module leader maintenance for review

People Responsibilities

• Provides on the job training for team members to enhance their knowledge and skill
• Monitors and controls team member activity for shop discipline and time management to achieve maintenance targets
