About This Role Protegrity is looking for a Vice President of Product Marketing to help achieve our next phase of growth. Reporting to our CMO Chris Gaebler, you will support all levels of the Marketing team as well as the Product, Sales, and other parts of the company. In this critical, high-impact role, you will be responsible for crafting break-through positioning, messaging and sales enablement stories that connect our target audience with our company solutions. You will be a chief architect of Protegrity’s value to the market, able to communicate to senior executives in the world’s largest companies as well as their technical teams. This role is essential to the growth of Protegrity. You will have visibility and engagement with all executives, go to market teams, partners and customers.
Activities and Deliverables for our new Vice President of Product Marketing
- Oversee global go to market approach for PMM in accordance with company goals and in alignment with key stakeholders, e.g. sales, product development, executive team.
- Act as thought leader and spokesperson across multiple channels including analyst briefings, PR, industry events, company events, and customer magazine.
- Act as trusted consultant for Sales, and be actively engaged in the sales cycles of the team.
- Lead a PMM organization that 1) is seen as an amazing partner by the organization, 2) deeply values iteration and customer feedback, and 3) ensures our strategy and positioning is aligned across everything we do, including: developing a repeatable, actionable feedback loop across Sales, Marketing, Product and Services.
- Lead Protegrity positioning, messaging, and content associated with how we bring our diverse product portfolio to market across our target customer segments.
- Collaborate extensively with Sales Enablement on the creation and evolution of our sales content for every segment and function, from initial meeting to final close deck.
- Enable us to consistently be on the offensive in the market via a robust and proactive competitive intelligence muscle that translates into high impact sales, go to market plays and product roadmap decisions.
- Lead strategic product marketing initiatives including narrative development, positioning, and naming. This is especially important given the extent of packaging and positioning work
- Serve as exemplar and mentor to PMM team in craft of product marketing, thereby investing in advancing team members’ impact and career development.
- Partner with our Product Management and Field organizations to develop a clear, compelling marketing strategy, including: defining our TAM, marketing themes, and competitive positioning.
- Partner with Sales and Operations leaders to define and iterate on our GTM motions, sales engagement process, and pricing and packaging strategy.
- Reinforce our position as the recognized market leader via inspired, compelling and consistent product positioning tied to our key differentiated value drivers.
- Partner with Analyst Relations to evangelize our point of view on the market to the analyst community and to ensure we receive the highest possible ratings.”
Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field
- 7+ years of product marketing experience within B2B high-growth SaaS companies
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Product marketing leadership background in Cloud technology, Security, or DevOps required, especially strategic marketing to an IT and/or cybersecurity audience
- Experience conducting competitor, and customer research to gather insights
- Enjoys building and managing high-performance teams
- Analytical mind, strong quantitative skills and the ability to turn complex ideas into simple, impactful narratives
- You can level up to the bigger picture and talk architecture and solutions as well as overall business goals, while digging into the details when required
- Strong knowledge of technology and how to apply technology to solve the customers business needs across the customer lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy and Security
- Proven experience collaboratively working with cross-functional teams
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, especially to executive leadership
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and thrives in a fast-paced environment where initiative is rewarded
- Creative and innovative thinker who is willing to take risks, fail fast, iterate, and learn
- Manage key leading and lagging KPIs, creating appropriate programs to influence
$200,000 – $257,500 a year
For residents of CA, WA, NY, and CO, the pay range for this position is $200,000-$257500. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for this position plus any variable earnings, if applicable to the position. The individual compensation may be dependent on a variety of factors, such as geographic location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and performance.
