Designation: Programme Officer
Organization: Prayatna (HO NODIA, Uttar Pradesh)
Location: Ranchi, Jharkhand
Reporting to: Programme Manager
Responsible for providing day-to-day assistance and support to Programme manage in manging the operations of the of various projects and tasks including coordination with the trainers, coordination with the mobilizers, liasioning with villagers, with schools, with community leaders, with vendors, with government departments and with the admin staff, Report writing, MIS maintenance, conducting trainings whenever required, organizing workshops, trainings, meetings etc.
Specific tasks:
1.Coordination with trainers, mobilizers, community members, Youth Leaders
2.Coordination with School authorities for setting up infrastructure
3.Coordination with health centers for infrastructure development
4.Organize surveys and Focussed Group discussions
5.Undertake survey on identifying and finalizing the vocations of trainings
6.Develop reports as and when required
7.Develop and maintain MIS
8.Coordinate with the trainers regarding scheduling the trainings
9.Understand the training modules and help in planning required for smoother delivery of training.
10.Work in close coordination with the communities
11.Identify & facilitate govt. schemes & entitlements for the project beneficiaries.
12.Coordinate with the head office and send in daily updates or as required.
13.Facilitate the ERC centre and coordinate with other stakeholders.
14.Coordinate efforts for market linkages and business opportunities
15.Arrange and facilitate the officials during the visit.
16.Represent organization at local meetings, conferences, and workshops wherever required.
17.Any other tasks assigned by the organization
Preferred Candidate Profile
Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Agriculture/Social Sciences/Marketing /Management orsimilar fields.
2-3 years Experience of working in the Social sector
Candidates from Ranchi will be given preference.
Experience of field work at community level
Knowledge of key social sector issue and programmes
Experience of working with Communities, NGOs, donors and Government
Strong Communications Skills both verbal and written
Should have basic competency in MS Office including word, excel and Powerpoint

Knowledge of agriculture, handicrafts, child rights, youth development, women and community related programmes
Understanding of basic behavioural change concepts and human psychology
Ability to multi task and take on new challenges
