Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager located in Patna. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving sustainable growth. Your day-to-day tasks will include prospecting potential clients, conducting market research, creating business proposals, and negotiating contracts.

1. Contacting LEADS, scheduling and carrying out meetings with them
2. Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls
3. Building contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities
4. Developing effective sales plans using sales methodologies
5. Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
6. Networking with existing customers to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades
7. Managing workload to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals
8. Handling cold-calls to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads, and arrange meetings
9. Sharing product information and details to prospective clients
10. Calling approximately 50-60 customers in a day
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation and Qualification:
- Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels (online research, incoming inquiries, marketing campaigns).
- Maintain and manage a database of leads and prospects.
- Customer Outreach:
- Initiate contact with potential customers via phone, email, and other communication tools.
- Schedule and conduct virtual sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Sales Process Management:
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable solar solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential customers.
- Follow up on leads and prospects to close sales.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on solar industry trends, products, and services.
- Communicate technical information clearly and accurately to customers.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate with the technical and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management review.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving sales processes and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, preferably in the solar industry or related field.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts related to solar energy.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
