Job Overview

Messina Beej Private Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Seed Production

Manager to lead our production and procurement operations in Bihar and beyond. The

successful candidate will be responsible for organizing the production and procurement

of key crops, including Maize, Wheat, Paddy, Sudan-Grass, and Mustard seeds, both within and outside the state of Bihar. This role requires extensive travel and a hands-on approach to manage and improve our seed production processes.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning and Management: Oversee the entire production process ofvvarious seeds in Bihar and other regions, ensuring quality and efficiency. Develop and implement production schedules, plant growing plans, and resource allocation.

Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Manage the procurement of seeds, liaising with local and out-of-state farmers and suppliers. Ensure a steady supply of high-quality seeds to meet business demands.

Expansion of Production Network: Explore and establish new production bases outside Bihar, including identifying potential areas and partners for seed cultivation.

Quality Control: Implement stringent quality control measures to maintain high standards of seed purity and germination, across all production locations.

Research and Development: Collaborate with the R&D team to implement innovative seed technologies and cultivation methods that enhance yield and quality.

Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and manage a diverse team, coordinating efforts between in-state and out-of-state operations.

Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and financial planning for production departments in multiple regions.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Analyze market trends and advancements in seed technology, adapting production strategies for different regions.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in seed production; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and seed production techniques, both within Bihar and in other regions.
• Proven ability to manage production operations across different geographical locations.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis, budget management, and financial planning.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing scenarios.
• Exceptional communication skills
