Position Summary:

The Banquet Sales Manager will be responsible for driving banquet and event sales, managing client relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of events. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent sales acumen, strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing:

Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize banquet and event bookings.

Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients.

Conduct market research to understand competitor offerings and market trends.

Client Relationship Management:

Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Handle client inquiries, provide detailed information about banquet services, and conduct site visits.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.

Event Coordination:

Coordinate with the hotel’s operations team to ensure the successful execution of events.

Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to client specifications and hotel standards.

Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during events.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the banquet sales budget.

Track sales performance, analyze revenue reports, and adjust strategies as needed to achieve financial targets.

Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management.

Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate a team of banquet sales associates.

Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in banquet sales or a similar role within the hospitality industry.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Preferred Attributes:

Familiarity with the Gaya market and local clientele.
