Well-being Program Manager – Kshamtalaya

We are looking for a motivated professional who believes in Kshamtalaya’s vision to bring compassion and well-being as a means to bring systemic change in the education system. You
will lead a team of young people working with teachers of government schools in Rajasthan and Delhi to ensure mental health and wellbeing for the caregivers and other important stakeholders.

You will work closely with Brio, a U.S based organization that promotes global mental health and wellbeing through design and also through collaboration with local leaders and organizations.

You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of Project Hausla. You will be working to develop modules and facilitate well-being sessions with various program teams and stakeholders, use innovative systemic solutions related to well-being to transform the Education System and strengthen the current programs related to well-being in Kshamtalaya.

Roles and Responsibilities

Driving Program- Hausla 2.0

Hausla is a 21-Day Mental Well-being program,designed specifically to support teachers/educators to explore and identify tools & practices for personal well-being. The
Well-being Program Manager will be responsible for managing, and supporting the delivery of Hausla with 2000 teachers of Rajasthan and Delhi. The success of the program is being evaluated against the following key outputs:

● Improve the skills related to self awareness, emotional regulation and relationship in the Hausla fellows
● Creating engaged cohorts of well-being-preneurs with the Hausla Fellows.
● Improved understanding of Hausla fellows on mental health and skills that promote better mental health.
● Increased stakeholder engagement and acceptance towards mental wellbeing programs, leading to sustainable improvements.

The Well-being Program Manager is also responsible for ensuring regular monitoring of the progress made in relation to key program activities. You will regularly review progress with team members, Kshamtalaya senior leadership and our international partner, Brio. You will suggest and be receptive to ideas for ongoing program improvements and adaptations.

Coaching and team well-being

The well-being Program Manager will upskill the capabilities of core team members in Kshamtalaya to enable team members in fulfilling the vision of creating compassionate and resilient schools and communities through-

● Designing modules and sessions support which helps program teams to take practices on ground .
● Assessing and understanding needs of skills required to facilitate well-being competencies in program teams and creating capacity building opportunities towards the same.
● Acting as an important pillar to ensure well-being of core team members by holding reflective and safe spaces
● Ensuring the advocacy and promotion of mental health in various platforms

Planning, Reporting & Documentation

The Well-being Program Manager will be responsible for reporting on the sessions, projects and products designed. You will be:

● Responsible for preparing regular (monthly, quarterly and yearly) qualitative reports and documenting case studies and best practices for submission to our key funding partner Brio for Hausla 2.0
● Supporting the Core Team with strategic planning and advocacy, technical assistance, quality assurance, sustainability planning and future expansion decisions.
● Assisting with data and information needed for other funding reports and assessments of project progress.
● Participating in any other activities which may be required to be undertaken to fulfill the objectives of the organization.

Skills and Experience

● Possesses /demonstrates interest in mental health, psychotherapy, creative therapy (dance movement therapy, drama therapy, music or visual arts therapy )
● Preferred, Master degree in Psychology and certification in mindfulness based therapies courses from renowned national and international institutions
● 2 years of prior experience preferred.
● Good facilitation skills, strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
