The most important role of a restaurant manager is to effectively coordinate activities between the back and front house for delivering superior quality of customer experience. The restaurant manager has to excel in being successful in giving the customers an excellent guest experience. Manages daily restaurant operations and assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards and assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility.
Qualifications for Restaurant Manager
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality preferred.
3-5 years of food and beverage service industry experience required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card.
Working knowledge of general restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent leaderships skills
Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets.
Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
