FENG GROUP Hiring for SQL database administrator (Senior) Job at Patna

One of our leading clients from the Aviation industry is looking for a Senior SQL database administrator. He/she is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. Their main goal is to ensure the availability and consistent performance of various corporate applications.

Tasks

• Support the continuing operation of SQL Server maintenance;
• Identify and resolve backup issues and other threats to the Business Continuity/DR plan;
• Maintain security including Logins, Roles, Permissions, and data security in line with PCI DSS and the Data;
• Protection Act and any other current legislation;
• Ensure and improve system health and performance through monitoring, analyses, tuning and optimization;
• Monitor systems to ensure data integrity and reliability;
• Support and develop automated data import, export and archiving processes using SSIS and TSQL;
• including gathering requirements from Business Analysts and data workers;
• Support virtual and physical, clustered and standalone servers, with single or multiple instances;
• Administer Reporting Services;
• Use and promote an ITIL-based approach to IT incident management and service delivery;
• Take a proactive role in projects, providing SQL Server expertise in the design, architecture and implementation of solutions meeting company/industry standards and best practices;

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer science or related field;
• Experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role;
• Experience with MY SQL Server Administration experience required;
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO);
• Experience with backups restores and recovery models;
• Experience in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server;
• Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory;

• Great interpersonal and communication skills;
• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus;
