Our client is looking for a data engineer in a junior role. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. For example, you’ll create algorithms and conduct statistical analysis. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.

Tasks

• Develop software applications with high availability, scalability, maintainability, and reusability;
• Implement quality development practices and continuously pursue better ways to build software;
• Collaborate with product managers and developers in an agile environment to develop high-quality software and deliver on time;
• Help recruit and work as a team to increase skills and team effectiveness;
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Python & SQL;
• Work with Data Scientists/BI teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data processing needs;
• Build analytical tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics;
• Document and report issues in the tracking system;
• Partner with developers, product managers and business analysts as necessary to drive defects to resolution;
• Take ownership of product and process quality;
• Have a sense of urgency for high-impact issues and accelerate processes as necessary to get them resolved;

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field;
• Strong software engineering skills and experience working in an Agile environment;
• Relevant experience in developing highly available and scalable web applications in an agile environment;
• Relevant experience building full-stack applications with MongoDB, Express, Angular/React, and Node.js (i.e., MEAN/MERN technology stack);
• Experience building applications using PostgreSQL database is a plus;
• Knowledge of building services using java stack is a plus;
• Good understanding of Relational databases, Big data environments;
• Proficient in building end-to-end data pipelines;
• Experience Handling end to end development of projects without any additional support;
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to handle customers;
