Position: Researcher Qualification:
- Postgraduate in Public Policy/ Agricultural and water resource management/ Economics (specialization in Finance/ Environmental Economics/ Agricultural economics are preferred)/ Environmental Management
- Sound Knowledge about Natural Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation, Climate Finance
Job Type: Contract (renewable in yearly basis)
Location: Patna, Bihar (ready to travel to Delhi occasionally)

Professional Experience: A minimum of 2-3 year of which 1-2 years of experience should be related to climate change adaptation/ mitigation and climate finance. Involvement in the implementation or preparation of development/ climate finance projects is preferred. Good understanding of Natural Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Climate Finance and sustainable development issues.
Desired Qualifications: Experienced in networking with various stakeholders. Experience of working with state departments, ministries, financial institutions would be preferable. Experienced in literature review, secondary data collection/ analysis, technical report writing and presentation. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and oral communication skills in Hindi. Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems, IT-know-how (MS-Office, Access or other database program).
Skills: Independent thinking, planning and designing research initiatives, in-depth understanding of policy environment, development and climate finance, proven editing presentation, analytical, written and verbal communication skills, especially in English and verbal communication skill in Hindi.
Specifically, the incumbent should have;
- Experience of working in development sectors (preferably agriculture and water) / Government departments, towards addressing the rural livelihood/ agricultural/ water sector issues (sustainable use of natural resources, sectoral schemes and policies, climate change adaptation and climate finance).
- Ability to comprehend, critique, analyse and articulate.
- Ability to guide and lead the group work, draw conclusions and present the same at national and international forums.
- A national perspective of development work and ability to network.
Job Description:
- Execution of climate change adaptation finance/ green economy related projects focusing on agricultural and allied sector (including water sector).
- Business development to build Natural Resource Management/ Green Economy/ Green finance portfolio
- Working closely with local/ national/ international stakeholders.
