ROLE SUMMARY:
Senior Officer, Programs will be responsible for effective implementation of ChildFund India’s programs in the assigned geography/area/s, in collaboration with the filed team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for collecting first-hand information from the ground and feeding into program planning upward with the program teams.
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure effective implementation of project deliverables.
- Lead and contribute to developing activity plans and monitoring its execution and outcome.
- Develop and execute sound project management approach that includes building capacity of field teams, timely monitoring, financial oversight.
- Coordinate with Finance for fund requirements, expenses / reimbursements for program related activities.
- Track the progress of activities, ensure the collecting of program indicators, and provide on-time internal status reports and external donor reports.
- Identify and monitor risks, constraints, or escalating issues, and inform the hierarchy accordingly.
- Ensure that all data and information is updated, well organized and easily accessible; and that lessons learnt, and best practice are capitalized.
- Leading project PDDS and AOPB development process at field level and its timely submission.
- Provide leadership to the staff and ensuring that the project activities are completed, and the targets are achieved on time. Conduct regular performance review and evaluations of the field team.
- Implementation, supervision, monitoring and analysis of the weekly, monthly, quarterly, six monthly & annually CDP activity plans and reports, readjustment of the activities in collaboration with line Manager.
- Identification of training needs, implementation/organization & facilitation of trainings and technical workshops
- In collaboration with the Field Finance & admin, management of project procurement planning, equipment supplies when necessary, orders preparation and orders follow-up.
- Examine and pursue funding opportunities from donors and partners, (including developing and submitting concept papers, proposals, etc.).
- Engage and strengthen relationship with local level government agencies, civil society organizations and individuals to strengthen organizational presence and work.
- Promote and participate in local networks/ alliances with like-minded organizations for policy influencing.
- Represent organization in external forums through presentations, networking, publications, and engagement in the development discourse.
- Ensure regular visits to project locations and provide feedback for timely corrective measures.
- Open to travel for supporting projects across the state.
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
- Post-Graduate in Social Work /another relevant discipline/other relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience of development work, preferably in program management.
- Experience in implementing projects with ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity building of staff including training, mentoring and technical leadership,
- Excellent presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong computer skills, with familiarity in using Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual.
- Be gender sensitive with strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of excluded and disadvantaged children.
CTC for the position: Rs. 6,46,747/- per annum
