Braintrust Hiring for Contract Hindi Copywriter at Bihar, India

Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for a native Hindi writer to support a large tech client of ours. The right candidate must be a native Hindi speaker and also proficient in Indian English. This person will be responsible for developing content for language modeling efforts in both Hindi and Indian English. We are looking for someone who has a firm grasp and understanding of user experience, product writing, and a thoughtful approach to delivering a coherent, clear and conversational voice and tone. Professional experience in journalism or other forms of functional writing is preferred. The current team is made up of multidisciplinary professionals including UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers who all care deeply about the people who use their products.

Contract Opportunity: 3-4 months, 40 hours per week through June 2024. Must be located in IST timezone.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver work such as: audits that analyze and identify opportunities to create UX writing and content solutions that increase product value, and product narratives that successfully guide the user through and within the product.
• Write quality content effectively at an efficient velocity following UX writing and content design frameworks for user experiences, including principles, patterns, and systems. Tailor deliverables based on product or platform requirements.
• Edit and deliver queries and responses to help train the large language model following the voice and tone guidelines for this program in collaboration with the writer’s room.

Writing Requirements

• Writing may consist of short, concise yet comprehensive overviews that flow in a logical order. It may also involve editing existing content for brevity, simplicity or improved structure.
• Ability to limit writing to only present information that’s contained within cited source documents
• Must be able to summarize and synthesize information from multiple sources
• Ability to flex writing tone from formal to casual to lighthearted, while maintaining a consistent conversational and straightforward voice.
• Must be familiar with Indian colloquialisms and cultural nuances, with the ability to adapt writing for users with different levels of language proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Literature, Advertising, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years experience in writing, editorial, content marketing, UX writing, or related field with experience executing content strategy (e.g., adhering to tight timelines, writing to conform to a style guide; prioritizing multiple content projects; asking the right questions to get enough info to work quickly).
• Ability to deliver work with quick turnaround deadlines.
• Experience working in a cross-functional technology organization.
• Experience training technical language models is a plus.
• Experience working with Google Worksuite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat)
