Job Title: Counter Sales Girl

Job Summary: A Counter Sales Girl in the cafeteria is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and organized cafeteria environment. This role plays a vital part in delivering a positive dining experience for cafeteria patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Assist customers in making food and beverage selections.
Provide recommendations, answer questions about the menu, and accommodate special dietary requests.

Order Taking and Serving: Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards.
Ensure orders are complete, and presentation meets quality standards.

Cash Handling: Process cash, credit card, or digital payment transactions accurately.
Provide correct change and maintain cash register integrity.

Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food items.
Maintain a clean and organized serving area.

Stock Management:Monitor food and beverage stock levels.
Restock items as needed to ensure availability.

Menu Knowledge:Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
Be able to describe menu items accurately to customers.

Upselling: Suggest additional items or upsell combo meals to increase sales.

Communication: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other cafeteria employees to ensure orders are filled promptly.
Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role, especially in a cafeteria or fast-food setting, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work weekends and holidays.
