Collect requirements and feedback from the claims legal team and coordinate with the internal IT team to get these incorporated in the claims legal system module
Liaison with IT to build robust claims management system to reduce time and cost and increase efficiency; identify processes and reports that can be automated in collaboration with the IT development team
Review documentation with detailed workflow, logic, screen shots, write functional test cases and perform UAT testing
respond to queries, conduct data security testing (collaborate with all required stakeholders r- risk team)
Coordinate with internal IT team to provide technical support to team members on the field in terms of fixing day to day system bugs and other issues
Resolve all technology related complaints by guiding the internal team on the change (in data entry) requirements.
Coordinate with MIS team to incorporate changes in the data warehouse and prepare BO (business objective) templates
Project Management
Conceptualize new projects that can be undertaken under AOP/LRP to bring in operational efficiency/cost savings for the Claims Legal department
Coordinate with the IT team and other internal stakeholders such as PMO, Sales, Operations, Finance to get the required approvals and execute the projects
Implement and deliver the projects and provide post-production support in terms of providing training, resolving system issues on a daily basis
Actively participate in other projects and presentations as per the requirement of the function
Vendor Management
Identify and evaluate suitable vendor partners for sharing content for the community portal
Negotiate costs, partnership terms as well as scope of work, for best possible arrangement for the services provided
Conduct regular and periodic review meetings with vendors to share feedback and improve the overall quality of content created.
Explore new partners from time to time to bring in fresh perspectives
Audit & Analytics:
Prepare and present impact analysis reports for proposed new technology initiatives for Claims Legal to the function head.
Study various judgments and recent law changes, enforcements, legal developments and IRDA circulars and take action as required to implement changes in our internal systems
Prepare a root-cause analysis report for system issues that are highlighted
Identify challenges that the internal claims legal team, external advocates face while accessing the system and preempt solutions
Document, update and maintain the SOPs for any system changes as well as circulate it to all internal employees
Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as stated by IRDA
Team Management
Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of each team member and motivate them to give their best
Train and support team members in delivering their day-to day responsibilities and resolve their concerns/ challenges, if any
Internal Audit – [Additional Role based on certification]
Conduct trainings within the department to create awareness about ISO
Audit various process within BAGIC three times annually
