- Field Co-Observations
- Visit field and interact with team members (Claims Managers in States) and government officials to ensure Crop Cutting experiments (CCE) are executed as per plans and minimize leakage/ negative impact on claims
- Ensure timely completion of individual loss survey with complaints and request to Govt. wherever required to do sample survey to minimize leakage on claims.
- Suggest and arrange Preventing sowing or Midseason survey as per field condition and proxy indicator.
- Closely observe CC experiments, train the field team and better align with state officials (Joint effort of state government and BA) to ensure success of CC experiments and Surveys
- Increase field visits/ monitoring based on the natural calamities impacting agri. claims
- Claim Management
- Analyze and compare threshold yield (benchmark yield as per government data) and actual yield (current data) data prepared by the team to ensure accuracy
- Undertake manual claim calculations for Mid-season claims.
- Claim evaluation and processing on Govt Portal.
- Review claim calculations prepared by the team before system entries and claim disbursals across the 5 types of agri. claim disbursals
- Approval of claim within the prescribed financial limits.
- Filling of all claim related documents.
- Customer Service and Grievance Handling
- Ensure processes and activities are in compliance with government, PMO, etc. requirements
- Interact with customers (farmers) visiting HO, as needed
- Receive, understand and respond to queries (by drafting letters) for all queries from state government and Government of India
- Providing all the data asked by different Govt. authorities as and when require and in the required format.
- Impart training to customer service call center teams to respond to queries appropriately from farmers (customers); Make surprise/ planned visits to the call center to monitor call quality and adherence to processes
- Coordination with Stakeholders (Legal, Non-Motor Claims, Procurement, Finance and IT)
- Legal for vendor agreement, Review and cross check communication drafts to be shared with legal; Act as a witness from BAGIC, as needed.
- Follow up with Finance for fund requirement and payments of claims (end to end claim processing) and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with the IT department for system improvement/developments, provide test cases, UAT testing, etc. and sign off
- Vendor management (Surveyors and Weather data)
- Prior to beginning of season, interact with Vendors to share scope of work, timelines, operational guidelines, etc. Seek and review their quotation and assess vendor capabilities; Make recommendations for vendor selection and coordinate with Procurement team for selection; Coordinate with Corporate Legal for closure of contracting processes
- On a daily basis, monitor vendor activities, review crop cutting reports, MIS, etc. to ensure deliverables are in line with expectations for crop cutting experiments / weather data
- Collecting Invoice and payments of the same within prescribed timeline.
- Team development
- Participate in selection process to identify right talent for positions within the team
- Establish individual performance expectations and evaluation metrics, and regularly review individual performance
Identify and create development opportunities for team members to enhance domain knowledge
