Who we are
Architecture + Design Lab is a multi-disciplinary design practice whose work seamlessly weaves interior and exterior spaces, from large architectural ideas to the smallest of furniture details. A+D Lab is actively engaged in the creation of contextually appropriate solutions within an increasingly changing world. Set up in Ranchi and Raipur, it is a design studio focusing primarily on the fields of Architecture and Interior Design. The firm takes a deeply contextual approach to its work and combines this with a strong focus on the tactile and sensory qualities of the space. The design process looks at sustainability through the multiple lenses of cultural, social and environmental impact. There is an active engagement in integrating localized skills & resources with state of the art materials & technologies. We are a small but fast-growing team of designers and architects across two cities, and we believe in the power of design to create better outcomes for us and our planet.
Qualifications
- Strong process-oriented design portfolio that shows an engagement with sustainability concepts at all stages of design and delivery of projects
- Prior work experience of at least 5 years in any of the following sectors: commercial, hospitality, residential and institutional
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead high-performing teams
- Prior design project management experience
- Position is full-time and in-person at the office
- Skills: CAD, SketchUp, illustrator and photoshop. V-ray / D5 or other rendering software and BIM or parametric design is a plus.

Task Description
- Acting as the key point of contact for client queries, responses, weekly updates, meeting scheduling and documentation
- Acting as project team lead for approximately 10-15 small to medium-size projects; responsibilities include contributing to design concept and development, presentation narratives and structure, creating project work plans for all project team members, schedule meetings with principal architect for periodic reviews, update principal architect on team and project status, quality check of all drawings and designs, creating and upholding management systems alongside principal architect.
- Project management of 10-15 projects – follow up with consultants, contractors and vendors; prepare and check consultant drawings, bill of quantities, issue drawings, ensure adherence to execution plans and timelines, and ensure compliance to folder management protocols.
- Daily production goals manager for projects, social media, business development, website and other events
- Quality check of all production
- Administrative work in relation to managing junior architects’ timesheets, leaves, reimbursements.
- Mentoring and supervision of interns and junior staff
- Understanding of technical documents and building control regulations
