PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Maintain Project Transportation costs/budgets when subject to global sourcing changes .Safety and no incidents in Heavy and Over Dimensional Transportation and shipments.. Regulatory Compliance import/export in Country with Customs and local agencies. Shipping, Documentation and Training Compliance
Import Procedures
Coordinate shipment status with suppliers, organize, compile documents required for imports/exports. Follow up for timely clearance of materials from customs.
Custom clearance
Ascertain applicable duties, coordinate with customs/port/air-port for processing bill of entry/warehouse goods and freight forwarders/steamer/ container agents in order to ensure timely clearance of material
Transportation
Organize, arrange material transportation from Vendors premises/air-port/port/warehouse/local vendors to destination and follow-up transportation status in order to ensure timely and safe delivery of material

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Leads, Manages and develops the Transport & customs to meet budgeted tenders for transportation budgets, maintains Regulatory Compliance with all Country and local government agencies and comply with EHS regulations.
- Optimizes costs, services and organization in line with strategy and changing markets OOC & custom clearance within stipulated time without any demurrage,
- Ascertain applicable duties, coordinate with customs/port/air-port for processing bill of entry/warehouse goods and freight forwarders/steamer/ container agents in order to ensure timely clearance of material
- Prepares and evaluates risk analysis and risk mitigation at tender phase and identification of contingency plans for Transportation, Import Export, Trade and Regulatory Compliance
- Strategy in order to meet on time deliveries within budget and within a predefined scope
- Establishes required insurance coverage, terms and conditions and frame agreements for heavy Transportation and Rigging service providers for the transport of critical path components
- Conducts detailed route studies and commercial clarifications with local authorities for the execution of transporting heavy over dimensional power plant components.
- Supervises the timely return of specialized transport devices.
- Develops and implements strategy for reducing import and export duty costs with customs agencies under existing regulations. Regulatory Compliance import/export in Country with Customs and local agencies
- Establishes internal training and procedures for Transportation and Regulatory Compliance.
- Supervises customs clearance in the country of export and final destination.
- Procures certification and legalization of documentation for Import and export
- Evaluates proper export packing and transportation devices for over dimensional and super heavy components.
- Manages claim management through preventive actions, surveyors and lessons learned.
- To ensure timely payment for the service providers. payment to be restored within the stipulated timeline by next month of previous month availed services..
- Share month on month provision for Import services/freight charges & invoice reconciliation with service providers
QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES – Expected Level
QUALIFICATION : B. Tech / B.E. / MBA in SCM or Logistics with 6-8 Year of Experience
Languages: English & Hindi
Mandatory experiences:
Graduate in Engineering with 5+ yrs of experience in EXIM role with SAP working experience or equivalent
Railways industry candidates will get additional weightage
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
Good leadership (transversal, to people not reporting to him/her)

Communication skills
Language Skills: English, Hindi & Local Language
IT Skills: MS office,SAP, ARIBA
