About Aide et Action International- South Asia (AEAI-SA)
We at Aide et Action International- South Asia (AEAI-SA) work with the vision of creating “a world where dignity is ensured for all men, women and children through education”. Our mission is “to make education lever for human development”. We intervene in 19 countries, across Africa, Asia, Latin America, The Caribbean and Europe. In AEAI-SA, we have our presence in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan and the operations are managed through 8 sub-regional offices (Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Patna, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The South Asia headquarters is based in Chennai.
Roles and responsibilities of the Project Coordinator- Migration project
The project coordinator will be responsible for overall management of the Migration project which includes project planning, implementation, monitoring and financial management. Under the overall supervision of Programme Officer, the project coordinator will work closely with Patna Regional Office at state and district level for providing support to project to produce quality documentation, reporting. The project coordinator will coordinate with the Government Departments and other stakeholders for the facilitating completion of project activities.
Key responsibilities
1. Liaise with Government Departments and other stakeholders
2. Coordinate with the brick-kiln owners and ensure a better environment for migrant families to look at education of young ones.
3. Establish CCLC centre in the project area and coordinate with Aanganwadi centres and nearby schools on time to time
4. Coordinate for recruitment of project staff in consultation with the appointing authority and orient the team members working under him.
5. Ensure program deliverables on qualitative and quantitative terms by directly visiting CCLCs and brick-kiln sites.
6. Ensure timely submission of monthly reports and any other reports required by the state office
7. Supervise operational plan and training plan for education volunteer, CCLC facilitator and other stakeholders in the field.
8. Focus on school enrollment at destination, verification of reenrollment at source as per the need for the school enrolled children.
9. Get involved in the studies, situational analysis of baseline/end line studies and collect primary information as per the need.
10. Update the state office regularly on the progress and challenges faced in the process of implementation
11. Undertake any other activity assigned or suggested by regional office
Candidate Specification:
· Incumbent should be a Post Graduate in Social Work/ Development Studies or any other relevant field with 1-2 years of work experience in the development sector especially at the grass root level project/s.
· Should possess good communication skills – verbal & written English communication; Should possess skills in documentation and report writing;
· Incumbent should be prepared to travel and stay in rural areas as per the organizational requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: ₹25,000.00 – ₹28,000.00 per month
