Essential duties / responsibilities of the position:

Overall responsible for Kiln operation and maintenance

Analysing and monitoring the loading pattern and firing schedule

Knowledge about controlling of kiln defect and kiln operation

Knowledge about kiln filters cleaning & how to change filters in various types of kilns.

Responsible for operations and maintenance of different Kilns and hot air generator

Knowledge about all blower change over and kiln control plan for smooth kiln operation.

Firing a wide variety as per different firing schedules

Optimising utilization of fuel by maintaining proper air- fuel ratio

Customer interaction and handling related customer grievance

Manpower handling & proper supervision of jobs.

Train and develop subordinates and act as mentor to transfer knowledge and domain expertise

Documentation, SOP ,Job Hazard Analysis

Responsible for all Safety adherence

Following QA/QC procedures as per standards

Operation in both Gas firing & Oil firing.

Able to work in critical situations.            

Knowledge about TQM, 7S & compressor

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

·         B.E./ BTech – Ceramic / Mechanical/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Electrical

Minimum years of experience:

• 15-20 years in Refractory manufacturing

Nature of experience:

·         In Kilns & Thermal units, in Plant production
