We’re looking for our next Director, Insurance Products. Could It Be You?
The purpose of the Director, Insurance Products is to provide strategic leadership and product management of the B2C digital product experiences in auto, home, travel and other insurance arenas. This position will include overall product management, supporting product development, providing input to pricing decisions, strategy, risk management, analysis, reporting, creation and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and policy language, as well as overall portfolio analysis and premium leakage reviews.

- Works with Strategy and other areas to help define the strategic direction for the Company’s insurance product lines, including portfolio of products and monitoring of operational execution through premium leakage review, portfolio analysis and in collaboration with pricing
- Utilizes past experiences to direct product roadmaps that enable world class digital experiences for B2C and broker insurance acquisition
- Supports the ongoing business transformation (and other strategic projects which span across Products, Technology & Marketing business units), and provides guidance on product, pricing, quality
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of market and product trends, the competitive environment, regulatory actions and decisions and rallies the appropriate team to formulate and implement a response where required
- Supports strategy, underwriting and other areas in developing rate and product change schedule, and the analysis and implementation of product and rate reviews to drive financial results
- Supports the development, communication and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and procedures, rating rules, and product wordings
- Provides leadership to attract/retain high quality talent, including performance management, talent management, appropriate employee communication, sound structure/processes, etc.
- Creates an environment that encourages productivity, collaboration, teamwork, a high level of professionalism, learning and development and a culture of profitable growth across the products business unit

- Have 10+ years experience working within progressive fintech organizations
- Have 10+ years experience in working with product and technology teams in delivering world class digital insurance experiences
- Have a Masters or equivalent education in business or related certifications
- Have experience in financial modeling and budget management
- Have the ability to work under pressure
- Have excellent planning and organizational skills
- Have adaptability and proven efficiency in dealing with unforeseen situations
- Have expert leadership skills with the ability to influence and gain respect, credibility and confidence from others
- Have the ability to make excellent and well justified decisions in complex and high-pressure situations
- Have deep expertise and knowledge of Auto, P&C, Travel etc insurance, strategies, underwriting practices, guidelines, and the external operating environment.
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in which he/she is leading organizational change
- Possess personal characteristics of a strong leader – including personal resilience, adaptability, self-awareness and the charisma to develop and communicate a vision with passion
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and effectively negotiate with stakeholders
- Have a proven track record of successfully leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions
- Have a proven track record of successfully maintaining a deep understanding of enterprise direction, goals and industry and leading teams in alignment with business and IT strategies
- Have demonstrated ability to Develop, direct, coach, mentor and reinforce team members in line with the mission, vision, values, goals and performance standards
- Have a strong business acumen and business planning skills
- Shares ideas in a compelling manner that gains interest and commitment from others
- Have the ability to adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of various stakeholders
- Model and encourage the expression of diverse ideas and opinions
- Maintain strong relationships with recognized experts and with decision makers inside and outside the work environment.
