The Microsoft Threat Protection (MTP) team is responsible for delivering cybersecurity services and solutions to meet the challenges of the continually evolving security and threat landscape, and includes the suite of Microsoft Defender products that today protect billions of users and devices across enterprises, governments, and consumers around the world. We’re looking for a skilled and dynamic Compliance PM to be responsible for compliance governance, processes, education, and assessments of MTP products and services as part of our skilled Privacy and Compliance team. This role will involve working closely with engineering & product teams to ensure all compliance needs and requirements are successfully met.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Compliance PM, this role will be responsible for driving initiatives which enhance our compliance, security, and privacy posture across many of our Microsoft Threat Protection services & products. The right person has a passion for deeply understanding the technical aspects of services, a desire to provide world class security and managed offering solutions while protecting customer rights, and finesse for enabling the business through scalable processes ensuring our services remain compliant and secure. The core responsibilities include:
- Drive compliance and privacy requirement implementation and continued adherence
- Distill compliance and privacy requirements into implementable engineering controls
- Collaborate with centralized compliance teams to execute external audits
- Evangelize compliance and privacy to better integrate into the development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, or equivalent job experience
- 5+ years of technical and/or feature program management or project management
- 3+ years compliance or privacy related experience
- An understanding of Microsoft Security technologies.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Security, Compliance, and Management including the compliance aspects of managed services.
- Knowledge of solution/services interactions, interdependencies, and experience in managing them together.
- Experience in influencing and enlisting software development teams.
- Knowledge of compliance certifications (ISO, SOC, FedRAMP, HIPAA, DFARS).
- Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and guide solutions.
- Adept communication skills, level-setting complex topics across engineering and leadership teams.
- Provide technical leadership with respect and integrity.
