Desirable qualification:
Essential:
· Medical graduate in allopathy or AYUSH /BDS/Nursing with minimum of 7 years’ experience in Public Health/Facility
OR
· Medical graduate in allopathy or AYUSH/BDS/Nursing with post graduate degree/diploma Public Health/ Hospital & Health Management/Business Management with 5 years of experience in Public Health/Facility
· Fluency in English and Hindi is essential.
· Preferred: Experience of working in close collaboration with Government functionaries.

Responsibilities:
a) Capacity building of the Project Staff
b) Onsite mentoring of the facility staff on QI skills
c) Devising action plan within the scope of the facility Certification team under DBC strategy
d) Engage in devising the digital tool, facilitate digital tool like BHAVYA , implement ongoing digital tools and give feedback to improve these tools to improve the product effectiveness.
e) Devise SOPs, Technical guidelines and training material for internal & government stakeholders
f) Document learning, project updates and product report from time to time
Support other team members on product priorities.
Project brief :
Maternal and neonatal mortality, as well as the mortality and morbidity burden of other diseases, are all significantly impacted by poor quality of healthcare (16 lakh fatalities per year in India are attributed to quality of care: Lancet 2018). Bihar has a very small number of public health facilities with quality certifications, which contributes to a loss of confidence among community members, other stakeholders, and public health care leadership.
Aiming to for reliable public health facilities with improved patient satisfaction due to decreased out-of-pocket costs and improved clinical care in public facilities ( of 25% of public facilities to be certified in Bihar for NQAS by 2025)
Develop facility certification as a product that will help any public hospitals to establish quality systems contributing to improved clinical outcomes, along with improved patient satisfaction and decreased out-of-pocket expenses..
Specifically focus on
· To support public health facilities in getting ready for certification.
· To build culture of Quality Management System in public health facilities and streamline the various processes.
· To improve the capacity of both internal team and the managers, leaders and healthcare works in quality management
· To improve patient safety culture and practices in public health facilities
· Develop key reference materials ( SOPs, formats, IEC , small checklists, FAQs , QA tools) as a reference for facilities for QA certification
· Create a pool of mentors and capitalize their strengths to mentor facilities for quality certification ( Mentoring pedagogy)
· Build capabilities of leadership and healthcare workers in Quality management system ( identified skill set)
· Digital Tool and job aids to track progress of gap closure, virtual certification ( minimize physical interphase)
· Open School: Online learning platform ( self-learning )
