Overview The ICU In charge plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the activities within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the efficient functioning of the department. They are responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals and managing the day-to-day operations of the ICU.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of ICU staff, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Monitor patient care plans and collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage scheduling and staffing assignments.
- Oversee the maintenance of medical equipment and supplies within the ICU.
- Manage budgetary aspects of the ICU, including resource allocation and financial planning.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback and support to ICU staff.
- Respond to emergencies and address critical situations within the ICU.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field.
