Project-Knowledge Hub For Education And Learning (KHEL):
The KHEL program is our flagship after-school supplementary education initiative, which has significantly impacted the lives of over 1,000 children and youth at our centers in Patna, Bihta and Nalanda. We are excited to open a new KHEL Centre in SaraiRanjan Block, Samastipur. This initiative aims to provide holistic education to children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to become responsible and ethical global citizens.
Position: Teaching Fellow (2-year tenure)
Location: SaraiRanjan Block, Samastipur
Number of Positions: 3
Subjects to be Taught: Mathematics, English, Computer Science
Responsibilities:
- Supplementary Teaching: Teach in the after-school program, providing supplementary education to enhance the academic and holistic development of students.
- Support during School Hours: Assist in local government schools during regular school hours to provide additional support and enrichment activities.
- Curriculum Development: Research and develop high-quality teaching-learning materials tailored to the needs of disadvantaged children.
- Student Engagement: Actively facilitate classroom activities to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Planning: Design effective teaching plans and schedules that address the diverse needs of students.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Implement robust student assessment methodologies; provide feedback to help students improve.
- Parental Communication: Regularly communicate with parents to keep them informed about their children’s progress and ways they can support their learning at home.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, English, or Computer Science, based on the subject area. A teaching credential or relevant educational qualification is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience or experience in social work settings.
- Commitment to Children & Youth: Strong motivation and dedication to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and youth.
- Professional Skills: Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
