Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced News Anchor to join our team. As a News Anchor, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and engaging news broadcasts to our audience. You will work closely with our editorial team to research, write, and present news stories that inform and educate viewers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commanding on-air presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced news environment.

Responsibilities:

Research, write, and edit news stories for broadcast
Present news stories with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
Conduct interviews with newsmakers, experts, and community members
Collaborate with producers, reporters, and other team members to develop compelling news segments
Stay informed about current events, trends, and issues affecting our audience
Adhere to ethical standards and journalistic principles in all aspects of news reporting
Engage with viewers through social media and other digital platforms
Participate in station events and community outreach initiatives as needed

Requirements:
.Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
.Proven experience as a news anchor or reporter in a broadcast news environment
.Strong writing, editing, and research skills
.Excellent on-camera presence and speaking ability
.Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to breaking news situations
.Knowledge of AP style and broadcast news production techniques
.Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation
.Commitment to accuracy, fairness, and journalistic integrity
Preferred Qualifications:

.Master’s degree in Journalism or related field
.Experience hosting live events or interviews
.Knowledge of local and national news issues affecting our audience
