The ideal candidate will be responsible for building out our sales and marketing strategy, sales forecasting reports, and sales pipeline. You will then monitor our sales performance with the goal of expanding our company’s market share. Your collaborative nature and will help you succeed when coordinating with external distributors and internal sales and marketing teams. As an Area Sales Manager for FMCG Lighting Products, you will be responsible for driving sales and distribution strategies within a designated geographic area. Your primary focus will be on managing and expanding the distribution network for fast-moving consumer goods LED lighting products. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship building, and sales management skills to achieve revenue targets and market growth.

 

Responsibilities

1.      Distribution Network Management:

·        Develop and implement strategies to expand and optimize the distribution network for FMCG lighting products.

·        Identify and onboard new distributors, dealers, and retailers to enhance product availability and market reach.

2.      Sales Target Achievement:

·        Set and achieve sales targets in the assigned area to ensure the overall business objectives are met.

·        Implement effective sales plans, promotions, and incentive programs to drive sales growth.

3.      Market Analysis:

·        Conduct market research to understand consumer trends, competitor activities, and market demands.

·        Provide regular feedback to the management team on market dynamics and recommend adjustments to the product or sales strategy accordingly.

4.      Team Leadership and Training:

·        Build and lead a high-performance sales team to ensure the successful execution of sales plans.

·        Provide training, guidance, and support to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills.

5.      Relationship Management:

·        Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and other channel partners.

·        Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing and supply chain to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

6.      Inventory Management:

·        Monitor and manage product inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

·        Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely product availability.

7.      Reporting and Analysis:

·        Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, market trends, and competitor activities.

       Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address challenges.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

·        Proven experience in sales management within the lighting industry (LED) only..

·        Strong understanding of distribution networks and channel management.

·        Excellent leadership and team management skills.

·        Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

·        Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
