Role Profile
An Area Sales Manager will be tasked with the job of helping the organization’s business grow. The priority of the incumbent is to assist the company acquire new customers and sell additional products or services to existing ones; with the ambition to expand or the necessity to diversify its clientele. The incumbent will work closely with the sales manager in the execution expansion strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identifying new sales leads
- Pitching products and/or services
- Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
- Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
- Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, estimating partners’ needs and goals.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
