Position Overview: The role is within Purchase. The responsibilities include techno-commercial settlements with a strong commitment to management of stake-holders – internal and external.
KRAs:
Timely processing of Service Purchase requisitions in line with Purchase guidelines and defined strategies Managing Services category/cross category requirements across TML locations Prepare should cost/cost estimates Explore cost optimization opportunities e.g. scope optimization, alternate source suggestion, VA/VE, Cost containment etc. Adherence of vendor evaluation & rationalization process Establish connect with service providers for strategic engagements Taking Quotations from prospective Service Providers followed by negotiation Basic understanding of Make Vs Buy decisions and Relevant costing Preparation of MIS for performance evaluation as per BSC and Goals In depth knowledge of Contractor Safety Management and Statutory compliances Participate & execute Productivity and Process Improvement projects within defined timelines Deploy benchmark practices in purchase Awareness of Labour codes and their legal impact/Factory Act/GST etc. Understanding of Contracts and Agreements Adhere to TCOC guidelines and established audit processes Keeping abreast with new and emerging technologies and skills Interested to work on projects related to new technologies e.g. EV, Green Initiatives etc. Education
Work Experience
Education/Experience:
Diploma in Engineering
Experience: 3 -7 years. Experience in Purchase & PR/PO process will be preferred
Knowledge of Manufacturing process, Macro/Microeconomics and Industry Dynamics
Experience in vendor management/SAP MM Module exposure
Work on transformational initiatives within Service Purchase. Support and work for transition of Services to Central Purchase.
