 Techno-Economic Evaluations EngineerAt least a BachelorĂ¢€™s or MasterĂ¢€™s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.Experience in Process Engineering experience and asset support experience is a plus.Innovative mindset and passion to add value in an R&D environment to nurture and mature new ideas that can have a commercial impact.Effective stakeholder management and ability to work across multiple businesses and disciplines to coordinate and deliver activities.Ability to focus on key value drivers to provide objective input and guidance to all levels in the technology and business organizations and ensure reliable, transparent data for quality decisions.Flexibility to adapt and manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and effective organizational and project management skills.Excellent team player and communicator with the ability to balance different views and inspire people to work together effectively.Eagerness to learn and build capability in novel technologies as well as new ways of workingKnowledgeable of process simulation tools such as Aspentech, Unisim, and ProII to create and evaluate conceptual flow schemes.Experience with relevant Chemicals technologies is an advantage.As Techno-Economic Evaluations Engineer, your accountabilities include:-Support R&D activities including setting research targets, guidance on the selection of development paths to commercialization, as well as pilot plant design and operation.Develop/scout new or emerging technologies of interest to Shell and advocate them internally, including developing funding proposals for new programs.Coordinate technical and economic studies for novel and emerging technologies to ensure healthy R&D funnels for Chemicals and New Energies.Deliver integrated studies including techno-economic evaluations, commercial analysis, deployment options, and CO2 footprint/life cycle analysis, accountable for involving and integrating the required disciplines and experts.Enable quality decision-making with appropriate framing.

Evaluation of alternatives, economic modeling, and sensitivity analysis to ensure transparency and articulate risks and uncertainties.Participate in venture economic modeling, technology investment analysis, competitive benchmarking, and value chain analysis.Maintain connections with various technology teams across the different geographies and explore how we can further add value and help with developing a commercial mindset in the R&D environment.Being a capabilities-based group, this role may support the Front End development for capital projects, new process design, and pilot plant experimental programs.
