Job Description
1. Keeping available on call round the clock to address any issues related to the allotted working section in mine.
2. Coordinate with Sr. Manager Operation, Sr. Manager D & B, Sr. Manager Maintenance, Sr. Manager Safety for all operational requirements & resource planning.
3. Safety Visit / JCC on weekly basis and Incidence investigation as & when required & logging the same in the system
4. Visiting working areas to see that safety aspect is ensured & Writing the same in Manger’s Diary on all working days.
5. Taking all steps as may be necessary for production & safety in compliance with the provisions of The Mines Act,1952, Coal Mines Regulation,1957, The Mines rules, 1955, The Mines Rescue Rules, 1985, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission Rules & Regulations,2010, Indian Explosive Act, etc.
6. Examining and countersigning the Statutory records of overman/mining Sirdar, etc as per defined schedule.
7. Manage all the contract related activities directly/indirectly carried in the section
8. Mentoring and developing supervisors, operators and other crew members
9. Engage employees in Kaizen, SIPs, suggestions and other improvement initiatives
10. Participate in daily, weekly reviews, monthly reviews.
11. Ensure all support to project activities in the section
12. Conduct daily meeting with workers and contractors to discuss the safety elements. Conduct planning meeting with supervisors.

Skills
1. Ensure production of raw coal & Excavation of OB from specified section in respective shifts.
2. Ensure adherence to all applicable Safety standards / procedures by sub-ordinates / contract employees.
3. Maintain all data related to statutes, production, productivity and other activities falling under your purview.
4. Comply to all the needs for any project related activities undertaken by the department.
5. Ensure compliance of The Mines Act, C.M.R. Mines rules, statutory permissions, other statutory rules and regulations
