Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

Title of The Project: Autonomous and Privacy-Preserving Learning for Online and Intelligent Analysis of Urban Data

Job Description: Initially, the appointment will be for a period of one (01) year from the date of his/her joining the Institute, which may be extended for a maximum period of 2.5 years with satisfactory performance or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Essential Qualification:

• M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology, or M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Mathematics, or equivalent degree in related fields, who have completed their Masters dissertation in the relevant area
• Qualification in GATE or CSIR/UGC NET or any other National level examination conducted by the Central Government Departments/Institutions. Candidates should mention the thesis topic in their application.

Candidates having higher qualifications and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Desirable Qualification: (i) All through first class, (ii) Programming skill in Python, (iii) Research publication(s) in related areas, and expertise in Deep Learning, Differential Privacy, Federated Learning, etc.

Age and Relaxation (if any): The age limit is 30 years as on 1st March 2023 with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and Physically Challenged candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience. Fellowship Pay of Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand only) plus HRA as per the rules of the Institute, per month.
