Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. Job Requirements

• Knowledge of Handling Electrical Sub Systems & Propulsion Commodities for Railways/Metro Projects.
• Knowledge of Handling Parts like Transformer, Heat Exchangers, Oil Tanks, Batteries, Battery Chargers, Brakes, Brake Panels, Pneumatic Kit, Main Air Supply Unit, Pantograph, Pantograph Control Unit, Couplers, HVAC, Speed Sensors, Traction Motor, Louvers & filters, Internal & External Lights, Crew Fans, Fire Extinguishers, Temperature & Humidity sensors, Dehumidifiers, Blowers, Insulators, 25 KV Cables, ERCU, Busbars, Tabs, Connector Shore Supply
• Profound Knowledge of Supplier Base used for Railway & Metro Projects
• New Vendor Development into System.

Supplier relationship:

• Identification of project and business needs
• Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool
• Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
• Inputs provider/contributor for order placement
• Ensure QCD targets achievement, CONQ (Cost Of Non Quality) & claims management
• Lead supplier QCD performance reviews
• Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
• Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines

C ommodity support on site:

• Consolidation of commodity needs, inputs
• Active participation to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
• Support of Commodity Manager in tender phase
• Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions.
• Effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
• Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process, and provide return on experience.
• Manage change request commodities and drive till installation of parts and closure of design changes.

I nvolvement in projects and Reporting

• Closely work with sourcing project representatives (Project Sourcing Manager, etc…)
• Ensure work package sheet commitment respect
• Ensure QCD targets
• MIS Reporting (Monthly, Quarterly and CPR )

Educational requirements

Engineering degree or Business school with MASTER in purchasing

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Fluent english & International background is a must

Good interpersonal skills (leadership and communication)
