Roles & Responsibilities of a 3D Artist:

Technical Skills

• 3D Sculpting in Blender Zbrush using these technical terms : –

High Poly Sculpting from images with exact matching, using these terms Zremesher, Polygroup, Polypaint, Uvs Unwrapping in Low res mesh, Decimating for 3D Printing and Game assets.

Good knowledge of Subtools and exporting mesh from industry software’s for 3D printing, Rendering, Animation and various Purpose.

• Traditional Modeling such as hard surface product modeling, Reverse Engineering Machines Modeling, according to the project requirement and art direction.
• Skilled in Organic modeling with High Poly in sculpting software.
• Vision to take a simple 3D sketch to create a 3D model.
• Deliver clean and optimized Low Polygon Models, and efficient UV layouts according to the project’s technical requirements.
• Experience UV Unwrapping, Texel Density, UVs Scales and islands UDIM knowledge is better for AR/VR models.
• Should have detailed Knowledge of PBR Texturing in various texturing software’s.
• Understanding of mesh topology.

• Oversees improvement and development of production quality wherever needed
• Think creatively, and search for relevant references from various sources, to solve daily artistic challenges.
• Manage own time and work efficiently within production deadlines.
• High level of artistic skills, strong sense of design.
• Knowledge of anatomy – proportions and structures.
• Good time management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
• Should be flexible in working with Quality Analyst and take the critics/feedback positively for the betterment of product and services.
• Strong technical skills, knowledge of industry-standard software
• Good communication skills, ability to work with multiple departments on all their needs and constraints.
