Data Analyst: Job Description

We are building next generation cloud-based Data Lake and reporting solution across all businesses of Tata Capital. Intent of the data lake solution is to enable business to make data driven decisions, bring in data discipline and democratise data for our business users. We are looking to hire a Data Analyst to join our data lake team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• At least 5 years of work experience as a data analyst or in related field
• Minimum 3 years exp in writing SQL queries/procedures/Views/Functions and database objects.
• Work with business users to understand reporting and data needs
• Rationalise reporting and data needs to avoid data duplication and consistency
• Build business glossary with the help of business users and technology stakeholders
• Build source to target mapping with help of business and technology stakeholders
• Perform gap analysis on data provisioned in data lake vs reporting needs
• Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems and its impact on data lake and reporting
• Training end users on new reports and dashboards
• Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines
• Helping develop reports and analysis
• Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
• Candidate shall have expertise in NBFC business and terms
• Knowledge of FINNONE, Bancs, Lending system will be added plus
• Candidate shall be able multi task and manage expectations of stakeholders
• High-level written and verbal communication skills
