Reporting to the Senior Territory Manager, West India – Print Books, the candidate will contribute to overall department and sales strategy of the company by generating business for our print products from Odisha, Jharkhand & Bihar. Candidate will represent the company to various customer segments with major focus on Institutions and print supply chain. Candidate will be responsible for achieving annual territory sales target through suitable and consultative account management, maintaining an awareness of the business and competitive environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Achieve and exceed annual territory sales targets across each profit center, contributing to overall revenue and profit objectives of the Print Books Team
- Plan, schedule and carry out regular sales visits to customers to achieve financial targets within own sales region across product portfolio, customizing sales documentation and tools to maximize sales opportunities
- Cultivate strong, holistic relationship with the customer base, working to ensure that trading with each account is sustainable, profitable delivering high level of customer satisfaction
- Report periodically to the line manager to summarize the team sales progress and the business environment
- Collect and disseminates market, competitor and customer feedback including passing on leads where the customer and business would be better served by different T&F channels /offering
- Fulfil a lead role within sales teams in terms of guiding/mentoring sales associates
- Candidate will be responsible for the coverage of Institutions as well as trade partners to ensure maximum revenue generation from the territory.
- Prepare and contribute to sales meetings and event to build strategic awareness and to gather market relevant intelligence
- Liaise with stakeholder departments or groups within the business to enhance T&F’s coverage of the territory ( Odisha, Jharkhand & Bihar) – includes credit control, editorial, marketing and sales support
- Selection and adaptation of sales materials, analytics and catalogues for regular customer visits
Knowledge and qualifications:
- Candidate must have a rich experience of working in sales environment and in the territory mentioned above, with an understanding of the demands placed on sales and support needs to the sales team
- Knowledge of the academic publishing and have good experience of the institutional as well as trade market
- Competent user of core MS Office package
Skills and Behavioral required:
- Ability to guide, lead and advise colleagues, drawing on experience
- The ability to work independent and proactively
- Willingness to travel
