What’s it like working as a Talent Acquistion Specialist at Questrade?
The TA Specialist will play a critical role in executing the Talent Acquisition function within the Questrade Technologies Group (QTG). Providing full-cycle recruitment support for existing vacancies, as well as sourcing and outreach efforts to help Questrade build a strong technical talent pipeline.
Leads the full recruitment cycle, from requisition opening to offer negotiation, as well as participate in related tech recruitment initiatives and programs at Questrade. The TA Specialist will work with internal and external stakeholders for technical recruitment, outreach events, technical talent initiatives and develop best practices to build our technical talent pipeline.

- Assess and provide recommendations/solutions on operational improvement across the Talent Acquisition function, harnessing data, insights and technology at every stage.
- Actively engaged with the Tech community and network of talent for our existing roles and pipeline for future positions.
- Research talent pools and source hard-to-find skills.
- Partner with social media specialist to research, plan, and attend outreach events such as meetup groups, networking and community events to enhance Questrade’s talent brand in the technical space.
- Stay updated on market hiring trends and technologies and share knowledge and expertise of technical recruitment practices with the talent acquisition team.
- Create documentation on screening guidelines, interview questions and candidate assessments metrics.
- Act as a Questrade cultural ambassador.
- Maintain tracking and/or reporting of technical talent acquisition activities.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized documentation on all candidates, including prescreen and interview notes, debriefs and candidate correspondence.
- Promote best practices, share ideas and information to ensure consistency with Questrade’s Talent Acquisition Process.
- Partner with other People & Culture teams in different projects.

- 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience sourcing and attracting technology candidates in a competitive market.
- Ability to provide creative solutions and recommendations (Think outside the box).
- Ability to build strong relationships with Hiring Managers, P&C teams and candidates.
- Knowledge of best practices relating to employer branding and the candidate experience.
- Continuous learner, eager to research, absorb and share best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and able to deal with staff and managers throughout the company in a professional manner.
- Excellent problem solving skills and takes initiative to provide creative solutions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Prior experience working in the financial services industry and/or technology companies is highly desirable.
- Fluent English as you will work with international teams on a regular basis.
- Team-oriented and skilled at working within a collaborative environment.
